Position Summary
The Outreach Manager directs and oversees outreach opportunities for specific CNM programs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervises staff, which includes prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment.
- Identifies, directs, and assists to promote public affairs and strategic community outreach programs and sales-related efforts designed to introduce programs.
- Collaborates with staff to identify and utilize subject matter experts to promote and recruit for programs.
- Maintains working relationships with program staff to compile and disseminate program information.
- Maintains focus on recruiting students into programs.
- Plans, organizes and executes various events, both recurring and as needed.
- Produces and presents various written and oral presentations and other content to diverse groups, including potential students, employers, industry leaders, and various community stakeholder organizations.
- Works closely with academic departments, sales, program, and marketing teams to analyze and continually refine and implement successful strategies to reach and recruit various populations into programs.
- Represents CNM and programs at public events, sometimes working outside regular hours.
- Oversees documentation and analysis of outreach efforts.
- Identifies and seeks out opportunities to collaborate with local companies and interest groups to increase partnership and create pipelines for recruitment and placement of program completers.
- Building networking relationships with industry stakeholders to create understanding and involvement at programmatic level to develop and maintain industry driven competencies.
- Demonstrated ability in critical thinking, tolerance of ambiguity, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years’ of combined experience in Sales, Marketing, Outreach, Higher Education, Public Relations, and/or Fundraising.
- Associates degree and four (4) years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, Outreach, Higher Education, Public Relations, and/or Fundraising.
Preferences:
- Bilingual
- Previous post-secondary and student outreach work experience and previous work experience in a community college setting
- Experience working with underrepresented and system-impacted populations in a community outreach/social work setting

This position will support the Student Recruitment and Outreach department with outreach aimed at prospective students ranging from but not limited to, elementary and middle school students, underrepresented student populations, and system-impacted students to include foster care, incarcerated or formerly incarcerated populations. Duties will include attending off-campus events in the community, providing presentations to prospective students, assisting prospective students with the admissions application and onboarding, conducting campus tours, and assisting with special projects.
