Electricity North West is looking for an authorised Overhead Line Worker to join our team, working out of the Lancaster Depot. The role comes with a generous salary, many excellent benefits and the chance to join a thriving company.You will participate in the construction and refurbishment of the overhead power distribution network and in fault location and repair work. This takes place during working hours and after hours when required, ensuring that interruptions to customers’ electricity supplies are kept to a minimum.We are happy to consider applications from candidates who are prepared to follow a predetermined training and development plan designed to enable you to gain the appropriate qualifications, Knowledge skills to fulfil the role.In your first few weeks in this Overhead Line Worker role, you can expect to:

• Report on progress throughout thereby enabling colleagues within the Customer Contact Centre to keep our customers fully informed at all times
• Be part of the team responsible for the inspection and maintenance of various items of overhead plant.

To apply, you must live within a 45-minute drive and be able to demonstrate the ability to complete paperwork relating to work-based activities. You must hold a minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent and have a relevant City and Guilds level 2 qualification. You will also need to be willing to work outside in all weathers with some anti-social hours. In addition, you should be willing and able to work as part of a team, and possess a full UK driving licence.In return for your collaborative approach and commitment, you’ll receive a generous salary of up to £40,535.28.
