Job description

The Center for Pain Management at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) is looking to hire a part-time (0.5 FTE) Pain Management physician (MD/DO) for our outpatient clinic in St. Johnsbury, Vermont.

NVRH takes an integrated approach to pain management and believes that in order to enhance our patients’ quality of life, we need to help them improve their function, so they can get back to the activities they enjoy. Our Center for Pain Management works with patients to customize a plan to achieve their pain management goals. We work closely with numerous medical services both inside and outside NVRH. Our providers treat a variety of pain types, from chronic and acute to skeletal, spinal and neurological. We offer most interventional pain management treatments using both fluoroscopic and ultrasound guidance. While our Center physicians do not prescribe opioids or complete medical cannabis permit paperwork, we are available for consultation to assist referring providers. Our practice consists of a seasoned Pain Management physician, an experienced Ph.D. level Clinical Pain Psychologist, three RNs, and other excellent support staff.

Our Pain Management physicians enjoy a position with no call, state-of-the art fluoroscopic and ultrasound equipment and our own dedicated procedure suites. The Center is located within the hospital with close access to the emergency department and the operating room.

NVRH is located in St. Johnsbury in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. St. Johnsbury, located in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, is known for its natural beauty and year-round recreational activities.
