We are a forward-thinking practice looking for an experienced Paramedic to join our team.This exciting opportunity has arisen for the right individual to join our growing team of multi-disciplinary clinicians to deliver high quality care which meets the needs of our patient population whilst working within their professional boundariesMain duties of the jobTo practice as an emergency care practitioner and demonstrate advanced clinical competence and knowledge above those associated with conventional nursing roles.Assess, plan, treat and refer patients appropriately, carrying out consultations in the surgery or the community as an autonomous practitioner.Using own clinical judgement to diagnose and treat patients either face to face consultation, clinical telephone triage and other mediums.Making appropriate referrals to primary, secondary and social services care, following practice (and/or locally agreed) pathways and protocols.Deliver high quality clinical care in a timely manner to patients.About usWe pride ourselves in offering a friendly and professional service for approximately 25,000 patients across 3 sites. Two of the sites are in Gorleston and one in Hopton.The practice has a dynamic team of GPs, ANPs, Paramedics, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Practice Nurses, HCA’s, Phlebotomist, a Managerial team and administrative support staff.We are active members of the Gorleston Primary Care NetworkThe Partners are pleased to be able to offer Tier 2 sponsorship for eligible candidates.We are a well-established training practice, involved with GP Registrars and Foundation Year 2 trainees. Records must be accurate and reflect the clinical activity in accordance with NMC guidelines on clinical record keeping.Minor illness assessment, diagnosis and treatment with access to seek advice, review and onward referral within clinical teams at The Beaches Medical CentreTo develop care plans for patients when required (as developed and supervised with the Partners)Be involved with continuity of care of our patients, e.g. end of life care, chronic disease management.   • Educated to degree level in Paramedicine – 3 yrs post qualification experience
  • HCPC Registered

Desirable

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Ability to assess and manage patient risk effectively and safely
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload

Desirable

  • Experience in use of clinical software and coding, eg. Systmone
  • Knowledge and awareness of current professional issues, eg. clinical governance, NICE guidance

  • Post registration experience of working in any of the following clinical areas;
