Part-Time LSA in Primary School – GosportStarting January 2025Salary: £78 – 90 per day (depending on experience)About the School:The school is an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ primary school in the Gosport. They are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to start in September, on a part-time basis with the possibility of becoming a permanent role.Job Description:The Support Staff position involves a wide array of duties designed to assist both students and teachers. You will be actively involved in the educational process by working closely with teachers to help plan and deliver lessons across different subjects. Your responsibilities will include providing personalised support to students, such as one-on-one assistance for children with additional needs, ensuring they receive the guidance necessary for their academic development.Key Responsibilities:– Create and maintain a safe and secure environment on school premises and during extracurricular activities.– Enforce school policies as outlined in official documentation and under the guidance of the Headteacher.– Act as a positive representative of the school within the local community.– Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive information encountered during work.– Comply with the school’s Equal Opportunities policy.– Observe and implement the school’s Health and Safety policy, ensuring proper procedures are followed in the event of accidents or incidents.– Monitor and manage pupil behaviour throughout the school day, including during lunch and break times (as permitted by working hours), in alignment with school policies and individual behaviour plans.Requirements:– Previous experience working as an LSA or in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable.– A passion for education and supporting students’ academic and personal development.– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.– Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.– Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards challenges.– Experience with SEN children is an assetQualifications:– Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.– Relevant qualifications in Teaching Assistance or Education are advantageous but not essential.Additional Information:– Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.– Full-time position with opportunities for professional development and growth.– Supportive working environment within a well-established educational institution.– Training and support can be provided.Benefits:– Competitive rates of pay (£78-£90)– Personal and professional development through Supply Desk Limited– Contributory pension scheme– Gratification from sharing your knowledgeHow do I Apply?Please visit our website .Due to the overwhelming response to online advertising, only short-listed candidates will be contacted.‘Refer a Friend’ rewards bundle, yourself and your referred candidate can earn up to £150 collectively!
