Job description

Climate-Smart Partner Coordinator

Mission: Cultivating environmentally sound, economically viable, community-focused farms and food systems

This program is supported by a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, under agreement number NR233A750004G025.

Position overview: Are you excited to foster strong organizational relationships that build a coalition of regionally based sustainable agricultural non-profits? Pasa’s Climate-Smart program offers an innovative approach to implementing regenerative and resilient practices on 2,000 working farms from Maine to South Carolina. We’ll work to engage those farms in our Soil Health and Financial Benchmark Studies, deepen this research to examine cutting edge approaches to carbon sequestration measurement systems, and expand market opportunities for climate-smart farms.

The Climate-Smart Partner Coordinator will support the Associate Director of Climate-Smart programs in maintaining consistent communications with partner organizations participating in the Climate-Smart program.

An ideal candidate for this position is intimately familiar with farming and food system topics, and is a well-rounded communicator who possesses a diverse array of skills—including writing and editing, ability to synthesize and summarize information, strong record keeping standards and experience with organizational relationship management. This position collaborates closely with other members of the climate team to understand and communicate the various aspects of the program with partner organizations. The Climate-Smart Partner Coordinator will be supervised by the Associate Director of Climate-Smart Programs.
