The primary job duties include:Responsibilities: Discovery and Mobilisation Phase:Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, IT teams, and system users, to gather and document business requirements for patient electronic systemsSystem Analysis: Analyse existing patient electronic systems to identify areas for improvement, such as functionality enhancements, process optimisation, and integration with other healthcare systemsChange Management: Facilitate change management activities to ensure smooth transitions during system upgrades, enhancements, or implementationsStandard Content Build Phase:Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with developers, project managers, and system administrators, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle, building strong relationshipsContinuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in patient electronic systems, and recommend enhancements to improve system efficiency and effectivenessTechnical Expertise and Solution Design: Understand the architecture and integration processes for patient electronic systems, collaborating with technical teams to design and build technical components that meet the business requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulationsIntegrations: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security and finance to understand integration requirements, ensuring quality and consistency in integration processes through thorough documentation and clear communication.Implementation and Stabilisation Phase:Documentation: Create detailed system documentation, including system specifications, user manuals, and training materials, to support system implementation and user adoption.Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality, identify and resolve defects, and ensure the system meets quality standardsData Analysis and Reporting: Analyse system data to identify trends, generate reports, and provide insights that support operational decision-making and process improvementUser Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users, including healthcare professionals and administrative staff, to ensure smooth system adoption and effective usePosition Requirements:Bachelors degree in a relevant disciplineExperience of working with Electronic Healthcare Records (E.g. MEDITECH, Cerner, EPIC)Demonstrable experience working on clinical systems including system analysis, design, integration and security.Self-starter with strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsDedicated to accuracy, precision, and diligence, capable of thriving in both independent and collaborative settingsPossess strong analytic and technical skills and the ability to translate complicated data into useable informationConfident contributing to system architecture and technical documentation and working through integration problemsExperience with People Change Management techniques (E.g. ProSci) with the ability to influence others at all levels of the organisationWillingness to prepare, deliver, present and facilitate training to a range of different audiences, ensuring a seamless transitionAny programming experience including SQL would be advantageous but not required.was formed in 2001 as a shared service business within a large hospital operator.
