What is the opportunity?
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Payments Processing, this position is primarily responsible for ensuring all payments/transfers transmitted through Electronic Funds Transfer/RBC Express Systems are completed within the established timeframes as outlined in KPI (Key Performance Indicator). This individual acts as a key referral point for same day/future value payments from valued clients. All responsibilities carried out in accordance with Code of Conduct, RBC Values and Guiding Principles ensuring adherence to Privacy Principles.
What will you do?
- Responsible for providing a high level of service and support to a global client base by consistently meeting measurable KPI.
- Carry out all critical responsibilities related to various EFT/RBC Express functions such as: Account Manager Approval, Possible Duplicate Transfer, Repair Missing Credit B/B; Bank Information; Account Validation; Repair Missing Contract Number (s); Repair Invalid Clint FX Number;PVR2 Not Available; RFX Not Available; Book Conversion; Domestic Reverse EFT Express and Notifying Receiving Transit.
- Ensure that operational, financial and reputation risk is mitigated through the prioritization of workflow and being aware of various cut-off times and associated responsibilities
- Cancels payments and advises clients when unable to process payment due to incomplete information as per established procedures
- Contacts CTM (Credit Transaction Management) and or Account Managers for approvals where daily transactional limit is exceeded
- Responsible for daily booked foreign exchange transactions and prepares manual entries as required.
- Ensures all required fields on EFT Express are completed and formatted properly
- Verify EDI Transactional Risk upon Account Manager Approval; Act as a backup in updating EDI Transactional Risk upon Account Manager Approval
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- 2 – 5 years’ experience in Wire payments
- In-depth knowledge of day to day Payments Processing procedures
- Strong customer service experience
- Strong organizational & decision-making skills
- Ideal candidate must be fluent with Microsoft office suite of products and be technologically independent.
- Shift Flexibility (Evenings, weekends, statutory holidays as required)
- Ability to work in hybrid environment
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of CPA, LYNX, SWIFT, RBC Express and BESS systems
