Position Overview:
As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payments. This temporary role offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate with an interest in payroll to gain valuable experience in a reputable financial institution.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
– Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees.
– Ensure accuracy in timekeeping records and adherence to payroll schedules.
Data Entry:
– Enter and maintain employee information accurately in the payroll system.
– Review and verify data for completeness and accuracy.
Compliance:
– Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in payroll processes.
– Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
Documentation:
– Maintain organized and up-to-date records of payroll transactions.
– Assist in the preparation of reports for management review.
– Employee Communication:
– Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters.
– Provide excellent customer service in addressing payroll-related concerns.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent; relevant college coursework is a plus.
– Previous experience in payroll, accounting, or finance is preferred.
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
– Effective organizational and time management skills.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
