Payroll Specialist – Long-term Contract Opportunity located in Toronto, Ontario!Robert Half is urgently seeking a PCP-certified Payroll professional for an exciting new long-term contract opportunity. This Payroll Specialist position will be a hybrid role working 2-3 days on site in downtown Toronto, Ontario. If you are immediately available for work and are looking for a new chance to build on your payroll skills, this could be the perfect role for you!Major responsibilities will include:
– Full-cycle Payroll for 600+ Canadian employees
– Process improvements
– Resolving payroll issues and discrepancies
– Calculate adjustments, benefit premiums, and retroactive payments
– Be the point of contact for employee payroll inquiries
– ROE’s and T4’s
– Assisting with month-end– 3-5+ years of full-cycle Payroll experience
– PCP required
– Union experience highly preferred
– Experience with ADP or Ceridian an asset
– Intermediate MS Office and Excel
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Excellent time management, attention to detail, and initiative
