Job description
We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Team Lead to manage the payroll function in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing all payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of payroll processing
- Ensure compliance with current government regulations
- Establish and implement payroll policies
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities
- Provide leadership to the payroll team
- Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
- Develop systems to process payroll account transactions
- Coordinate efforts with Human Resources department

A successful Payroll Team Lead should have:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a payroll department
- Strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Proficiency in relevant payroll software
