Requisition ID: 201661Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.What you’ll be doing.Contributes to the overall success of the Employee Wellbeing Solutions department ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the department’s business strategies and objectives. Manages and takes ownership of the triaging of cases as they come into the inbox and team queue. Provides administrative support to the Senior Pension Analysts, Pension, Saving and Benefits Managers, as required.Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Daily monitoring and triaging Pension Delivery and Benefit inbox and Pega Team Queues to reduce risk and escalations
  • Respond to pension and benefit inquiries and escalations
  • Retrieve and review historical pension records
  • Preparation and processing of vendor invoices
  • Download, reconcile and process various reports (LOA, ESOP, Manulife, AML name screening)
  • Employee records updates in HR System (Employee Central)
  • Retirement Keying
  • Membership Option Changes
  • Provide monthly SCI & Roynat termination & retirement list to vendors.
  • Maintain and update various Pension and Benefits forms Monthly (Annual) submission of Form 7 for the different Canadian pension plans, and revised Form 7 during the year as required.
  • Annual Age 71 project – request reports from vendors & advise employees of upcoming retirement commencement
  • Provide foreign annual currency exchange rates to vendors (Buck & AON)
  • Support benefits team with annual benefits re-enrolment activities, as required
  • Support benefits team on absence management data maintenance/clean up
  • Perform various tasks as maybe assigned from time to time
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
