Our growing People Team is currently seeking a People Coordinator.We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented People Coordinator who is passionate about creating an amazing employee experience. As an integral part of our Human Resources team, you will directly impact the employee experience by supporting critical People operations and contributing to a thriving workplace. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience across various HR functions, ensuring our employees feel valued and empowered.What you’ll do
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with the recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, conducting background checks, issuing offer letters and employment contracts, and supporting the onboarding process for new hires.
- HR Information Management: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR databases. Manage key HR documents such as organizational charts, performance evaluation resources, and employee handbooks.
- Benefits Management: Communicate benefits information to employees, own benefit enrollment process, and coordinate with the benefits broker.
- Performance Management: Assist with performance management procedures and termination processes.
- Training & Development: Coordinate training sessions, seminars and employee development initiatives.
- Offboarding: Support offboarding processes including completing offboarding paperwork as required.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to labor laws and employment regulations
- Reporting & Metrics: Prepare and submit regular reports on HR activities, including HR metrics and talent acquisition data.
- Employee Support: Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries, provide assistance to employees by answering questions and requests, and resolve day to day issues related to benefits and payroll by collaborating with the Finance team.
- Communication: Communicate HR policies, procedures, and programs to employees.
- Supporting HR Initiatives: Assist with a variety of HR projects and initiatives, including the implementation and communication of 10KC HR programs.
- Program Optimization & Utilization: Ensure the effective utilization of HR programs and services, including conducting audits of benefits and other HR programs and recommending corrective actions to optimize their effectiveness.
- Scheduling & Logistics: Schedule meetings, interviews, and manage the HR team calendar.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in an HR coordinator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, best practices, and employment laws
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities to build positive relationships with employees at all levels
- Proficiency in Google Workspace applications, particularly Docs, Sheets, and Slides
- Experience with HRIS and ATS software
- Highly organized and efficient with proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of integrity
- Proven attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all HR tasks
- A sense of urgency, high energy, and hands-on approach
- Proactive problem-solver with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn new processes quickly
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others, both within and outside the HR team
- Added bonus if you have:
- CIPD certification/designation, CPHR designation or other relevant HR certifications
- Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration
- Familiarity with social media recruiting and sourcing tools
