The selected incumbent will support virtual learning initiatives by creating engaging, relevant content aligned with UNDP’s strategic priorities. They will leverage modern learning technologies and design principles to enhance the virtual learning experience and contribute to talent development programs across UNDP.
Scope of Work
Design and Delivery of the Virtual Learning Experience:
- Design and deliver virtual/e-learning initiatives aligned with UNDP’s strategic goals and outcomes.
- Apply innovative instructional strategies and user-centered design for impactful learning solutions.
- Create and deliver content and curriculums, leveraging technologies like artificial intelligence, virtual reality and augmented reality.
- Conduct learning needs analysis with stakeholders and develop project management plans.
- Utilize diverse learning modalities, including video, gamification, blended approaches, and virtual ILT.
- Coordinate quality assurance to ensure effective delivery.
Communications and Knowledge Management:
- Package the HR for 2030 material into a coherent online package, and UNDP’s PPM and RBM certification courses for Bureau for Policy and Programme Support (BPPS)
- Support communications with stakeholders e.g. internal stakeholders to create learning content, external developers/vendors, learning programme participants.
- Develop new pages on the Talent Development Hub/LMS/SharePoint website/or update existing pages based on the content provided by the team.
- Capture relevant information to ensure knowledge management and sharing such as standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting:
- Monitor learning projects, including budget adherence and delivery progress.
- Design and analyze learning evaluation surveys to improve offerings.
- Create reports tailored to diverse stakeholder needs.
OHR and Talent Development Support:
- Provide support for other OHR and Talent Development initiatives and programmes as needed.
- Required Education, Experience, Skills and Competencies
Minimum Education requirements:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s Degree or equivalent) in Educational Technology, Adult Education, Instruction Design, Human Resources Management, Business Administration/Management or any other relevant discipline is required. Or
- A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas stated above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Minimum years of relevant work experience:
- Applicants with a master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience.
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in talent development, learning content creation and project management
Required skills:
- Prior experience and excellent knowledge of online course authoring tools, such as Articulate 360 (storyline, RISE etc.), captivate, HTML5 or similar.
- Experience in learning content creation and curation, Learning Management Systems (LMS), SCORM/xAPI standards and creating accessible content using WCAG guidelines.
- Prior experience and good knowledge of MS Office Suite, MS Teams, and SharePoint.
- Prior experience and knowledge of design tools to create graphic, animation, infographics, movies, podcasts etc. is an added advantage.
- Experience in the UN system is an asset.
- Experience in monitoring learning projects is an asset.
- Experience in conducting learning needs analysis with stakeholders and develop project management plans is an asset.
Required Language s:
- Fluency in in English is required.
- Working knowledge of French and/or Spanish is desirable
