Here at GXO, we’re looking for a HR People Services Specialists to join us on a fixed term basis for six months based out of our Central Offices in Northampton. As a key part of our central HR team, you’ll provide a professional service across a broad range of processes including onboarding, lifecycle, and leaver processing, by supporting with all administration.

You’ll be working from Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 with an element of hybrid working.

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of £25,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 33 days annual leave, pro-rata. You’ll also have access to a variety of high street discounts, a workplace pension, and many other perks.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Accurate processing of employees personal and pay data into the HR systems from new starter, changes, leavers to enable accurate payroll processing and maintenance of accurate electronic people data
  • Ensure all SNOW tickets are managed, processed and tracked in a timely and accurate manner
  • Production of offer letters, contracts, and contract change letters, along with the activation and deactivation of various benefit schemes available to the employees
  • Input & update holiday entitlement, holiday bookings & absence recording on the current T&A system
  • Provide support for time & attendance, including absence and holiday processing, to ensure accurate production of monthly reporting

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Previous experience in an Admin/HR role ideally within a shared service environment – a level 3 CIPD qualification would be a bonus
  • Comprehensive understanding of GDPR with the ability to ensure a high level of confidentiality
  • The ability to identify customer needs, seeking and providing effective solutions to their queries and deliver excellent customer experience
  • Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals
