This role will be working within the Area Support Team to provide performance, business and finance support to the 6 Area Teams, and Elected Members across the Borough. As a service we support community groups and volunteers to help us build stronger, healthier, and happier communities in the Barnsley Borough as well as commissioning local services to address the needs of Barnsley residents. Together, we’re working towards making Barnsley the place of possibilities.You will:We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and creative individual to join our team where you will be required to:

  • Produce performance management reports and data analysis
  • Handle queries face to face and over the phone
  • Design and produce promotional materials/graphics/reports
  • Support our grants scheme
  • Input, check and maintain data
  • Undertake financial administration and make payments
  • Prepare reports and presentations
  • Monitor budgets
  • Undertake service wide business functions and projects

You will be/ have:

  • A confident and effective communicator
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy, presentation and IT skills
  • Flexible and adaptable with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Respond to service requests in a timely manner
  • Be able to handle and prioritise multiple requests
