About The RolePhilanthropy and Partnerships Lead

Full Time: 35 hours per week (typically Mon – Fri, 9am – 5pm)
Salary: £45,835 (plus London Weighting, £3,344, if applicable for living in London) per annumWe are seeking a dynamic individual to take on the unique role of Philanthropy & Partnerships Lead for the British Red Cross (BRC) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).A Day in the life of our Philanthropy and Partnerships LeadIn this role you will spearhead the implementation of an exciting private sector engagement strategy. You will work in close collaboration with the Philanthropy and Private Partnership Team of the ICRC and the Philanthropy and Partnerships Team of the BRC. You will be positioned at the forefront of developing and executing engagement plans for a diverse array of philanthropic supporters, including individuals, foundations, and companies.In addition to your strategic prowess in devising engagement strategies, this role places a strong emphasis on relationship management. You will be tasked with cultivating and nurturing relationships with high-value supporters, including corporates, individuals, and foundations. This will ensure sustained financial support for ICRC operations. This involves not only the cultivation of existing relationships but also the proactive pursuit of new opportunities to expand the supporter base.Furthermore, your role extends to fostering partnerships within the broader Red Cross Red Crescent Movement (RCRCM). This is to maximise private funding potential not only for BRC and ICRC but also for the wider movement. This requires a keen ability to navigate relationships with colleagues across the movement. - You excel in high-value supporter management, adeptly cultivating relationships with corporates, individuals, and foundations. This is to ensure sustained financial backing for ICRC and wider RCRCM operations
- You demonstrate proficiency in strategy implementation, refining and optimizing engagement plans tailored to diverse audiences across the UK market
- You possess strong project and campaign planning skills, capable of crafting compelling proposals and orchestrating impactful fundraising events
- You are skilled in maximizing mutually beneficial partnerships within multilateral organisations, and open to exploring opportunities for collaborations which span our Movements
- You possess exceptional relationship-building abilities. You are keen to foster connections with colleagues across the RCRCM, UN and international NGO representatives, as well as other stakeholders in the philanthropic sphere
