Position: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Job Summary: As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will be an integral part of our rehabilitation team, providing hands-on assistance to patients, and supporting the delivery of physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of our licensed Physical Therapists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists in the implementation of patient treatment plans.
- Perform therapeutic interventions as directed, ensuring patient safety and effectiveness of treatment.
- Monitor patient responses to therapy and communicate observations to the supervising therapist.
- Educate and guide patients on exercise routines and use of equipment.
- Maintain treatment area and equipment, adhering to cleanliness and safety standards.
- Document patient progress and assist with administrative tasks related to patient care.
Qualifications:
- An associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Current PTA license or certification as per state regulations.
- Prior experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic healthcare team.
