Position Overview:

Ameresco currently has an opportunity for a Pipeline Compliance Specialist, this position is in our Landfill Gas Operations (LFG Ops) team. The position is remote and will report directly to the Pipeline Compliance Manager – LFG Ops.

Responsibilities:

Assist Supervisor with the development and implementation of the various aspects of the company’s pipeline compliance programs, including Operator Qualification, Public Awareness, Damage Prevention, Emergency Response, Drug and Alcohol, Integrity Management, and other related plans and forms needed.

Conduct and/or assist with annual internal assessments of pipeline compliance programs, prepare analyses, and identify gaps, develop tracking tools as needed.

Revise compliance program documentation as needed and ensure that applicable facilities have most current documentation on site.

Provide liaison between the company and various federal and state regulatory agencies with jurisdiction over the company’s gas pipeline facilities and operations.

Assist Supervisor in coordination with 3rd party vendors regarding the Public Awareness program (mailout lists / outreach methods, mailout format and content, etc.).

Support team’s preparation for federal and state regulatory agency compliance audits. Track and monitor federal and state regulatory agencies audit findings through closeout. Plus, keep abreast of industry policies, interpretations, application, and best management practices.

Perform and/or support annual reviews of company compliance programs. Propose and implement changes together with operation personnel and managers.

Perform and/or assist with annual, on-site facility compliance assessments and preparation of written reports to document findings and recommendations.

Interpret regulatory policies and procedures and provide input to Supervisory personnel to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.

Maintain accurate and complete pipeline regulatory compliance records, including consistently filing records electronically. Assist operation personnel with form usage, and document storage and security.

Represent Ameresco at regulatory inspections, investigations, and hearings, as needed.

Conduct and/or assist training of Company employees on all Pipeline Program Plans, Construction Specifications, and results of record audits.

Support facility managers and supervisor as needed in maintenance of Energy WorldNet, including review of assigned modules and status of operator training.

Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement.

Identify and participate in industry training and workshops.

Fully participate in all Ameresco Safety Program initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) or private company pipeline inspection, compliance, and/or training experience.

Minimum 2 years of experience in Service, Plant, or Engineering Technical Operations.

Experience interpreting DOT Pipeline Safety Regulations 190, 191, 192, 193, and 199.

Additional Qualifications:

Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Proven ability to communicate and correspond clearly and effectively.

Understanding and working knowledge of Pipeline Construction practices.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of gas plant operations.

Demonstrated direct interface in providing support to Public Utilities Commission audits and inquiries, including previous auditing/field assessment experience.

Occasional travel required.
