Who you are:The CIEE High School USA team is seeking a highly motivated cultural exchange advocate, who is outgoing, flexible, and driven to meet sales targets, while building and supporting a team of independent contractors. As Placement Specialist you will be responsible for supporting the placement of incoming international high school students on year-long U.S. programs with volunteer host families, as well as supporting recruitment of American teens interested in studying abroad on short term summer programs.What you’ll do:

• Your responsibilities will include recruiting, training and managing a team of Local Coordinators (independent contractors), volunteer host families, public high schools, and American families interested in sending their own teens on summer programs. You will train, support, and empower your team of Local Coordinators to achieve annual goals and ensure proper community outreach, and support of students on program. This role will have a target number of placements, similar to a sales goal. Therefore, we are seeking someone who is self-motivated and comfortable working towards a target number of student placements as a measure of success.
• Generate leads (volunteer host families and local coordinators) through creative outreach and marketing.

What you’ll bring:The ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Demonstrated success in sales-type roles (lead generation and conversion) in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Experience managing or working with volunteers or independent contractors.
• Ability to manage high volume goals within tight deadlines.
• Consistent monitoring of the sales activity of the team, and tracking of results
• Self-motivated and goal-orientated, with an attitude to overcome any challenge.
• Familiar and comfortable with full time remote work.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT) is necessary.
• Experience with CRM type databases a plus; Salesforce experience preferred.
• A positive attitude, that can engage and support the CIEE mission.
