Could you use your administration experience to help support students secure and safely complete work experience opportunities as part of their university experience? Would you enjoy managing and developing administrative processes and activities within an educational setting? If so, you could be our new Placements, Internships & Volunteering Administrator.
This role focuses on providing a range of administrative functions within the Placements, Internships & Volunteering team, to ensure students and external organisations are provided with a high-quality customer experience and service.
The role involves various responsibilities, including: coordinating and managing the Health & Safety and Risk Assessment operations across the team; data inputting of work experience opportunities; record keeping of student work experiences; and liaising with students, internal customers, and external placement host organisations. If you desired, you can also be involved supporting students on a one-to-one basis to prepare CVs and application forms for internships, placements, and volunteering opportunities.
We are looking for candidates with:
- A strong ability to pay close attention to detail and work with accuracy.
- Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and be systematic.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Office and using databases.
- Flexibility, and able to work well as part of a team to provide support and contribute ideas.
- Ability to be proactive and use initiative to solve problems creatively.
- Ability to communicate confidently and offer support and advice in a professional manner.
This is a full-time (37 hours per week) permanent appointment. However, applications will be considered up to 1 FTE.
The role is eligible for agile working, meaning you could work from home for part of the week, to be arranged with your manager and after your initial training.
