Join our team as a Plumbing & Gas Trainer/Assessor at DN Colleges Group and help shape the future of aspiring plumbers!Summary of the Role: We are looking for a dedicated Plumbing & Gas Assessor to support our apprenticeship and full-time plumbing programmes. You will play a crucial role in verifying student work, ensuring high standards, and preparing learners for successful careers in the plumbing industry.Scope and Purpose of the Role: As a Plumbing Assessor, you will engage with employers, provide guidance to learners, and deliver high-quality teaching and assessment. You will ensure that all learning programmes meet the requirements of the College, employers, funding bodies, and awarding organisations.What we’re looking for:

  • Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Heating.
  • A1 and V1 Awards.
  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
  • Relevant industrial experience.
  • Understanding of apprenticeship frameworks and employer needs.
  • Experience in gas installation.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to equality of opportunity and high standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Engage with employers to develop relationships and promote our training programmes.
  • Provide pre-course and on-course guidance to support learner progression.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective teaching and assessment.
  • Ensure learners are enrolled, supported, and progressing in line with requirements.
  • Develop and deliver plumbing subjects at appropriate levels.
  • Undertake reviews, assessments, and verification tasks.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to learner registration, attendance, and record keeping.
  • Contribute to quality assurance systems and curriculum development.
  • Participate in staff performance appraisals and continuous professional development.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support College provision.
