Job description

A Political Events & Partnership Manager is sought for a leading public affairs and comms agency. The role will entail planning and executing key events for clients, as well as fostering strategic partnerships within the industry and governments, both in the UK and abroad.

  • Manage projects (end-to-end), i.e. in the organisation (e.g. logistics and administration, reporting) of events, meetings with internal project managers for the company and/or clients. These can range from small meetings and roundtables up to large scale events (e.g. 200 plus attendees) in London and internationally.
  • Manage the branding and marketing strategy including the website and social media by working with senior management.
  • Work closely with Account Managers and Account Executives on project related deliverables, planning and execution.
  • Planning and Execution: Take charge of my client’s annual and client events, ensuring each one aligns with the company/client goals and brand image whilst being acutely aware of the political nature of the events.
  • Strategy: Coordinate with the wider team to create cohesive and effective event and project management that deliver against the company’s and client’s strategies, being sensitive to current affairs.
  • Manage Budgets: Oversee the event budgets, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure we get the best value.
  • Social Media: Evolve and execute a social media strategy across multiple social media platforms to increase brand visibility, engagement (with political and senior stakeholders), and community growth.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the reach of the company and clients via targeted engagement and public affairs strategies.

Experienced in the political domain? |Work at a well-respected public affairs agency with FTSE 100 clients.A successful Political Events & Partnership Manager should have:

  • Experience as an Events/Project Manager preferably in a political consulting firm, NGO or corporate business by engaging within a political environment nationally or globally.
  • Proficient use of event/project management tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using and monitoring social media platforms.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent time-management skills and being able to work under tight deadlines.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn about different client deliverables.
  • To be a strong and experienced leader, able to inspire, motivate and galvanise a high performing ambitious team.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead through complex and competing priorities, working with relevant multi-team stakeholders to ensure strategic coherence and identify creative solutions.
  • Being able to travel for work outside of the United Kingdom on occasion for event delivery.
