Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Portfolio Manager – EU (Breathe Cities) to join their team in Programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.  

As a Portfolio Manager you would lead on Breathe Cities related projects in the EU, from scoping, to commissioning and contracting services, grantmaking, and evaluation and impact assessments, as well as ensuring lessons learnt are identified and shared across the wider programme.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrable alignment with CAF’s mission, values and goals;
  • Experience in project, programme, or grant management;
  • Experience in financial management, including the ability to interrogate grant budgets;
  • Experience in working on air quality or a related subject;
  • Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically and to be outcome-focused, with experience in working in teams that design and execute strategies on complex issues;
  • Strong interpersonal skills that translates to the ability to build effective networks and manage team members effectively;
  • Fluent in English and in French, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Closing date – Wednesday 31st January;
  • Salary – Depending on your location; London – £51,838 – £66,583, Warsaw – PLN239,361 – PLN297,000, Brussels – EUR 59,970 – EUR 77,027 (Final salary dependent on candidate’s level of experience and fulfilment of the people specification for the role);
  • Type of employment – Fixed Term – 2 year contract with possibility to extend;
  • Hybrid working is included in Clean Air Fund’s policies. Home working can be facilitated for up to 50% of the time.  Successful candidates will work remotely at the start of the contract, until office space is finalised;
