We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar to join a large interdisciplinary research project funded by USDA-NIFA, focusing on land use modeling and valuation of ecosystem services. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Weizhe Weng in the Food and Resource Economics Department at the University of Florida, in collaboration with researchers from USDA-ARS, the University of Georgia, Auburn University, Clemson University, and other academic, NGO, and industry partners.Job Duties:
- Analyze geospatial data and develop an integrated assessment model to evaluate economic and environmental impacts of cover crops adoption in the Southeastern U.S.
- Coauthor high-impact academic publications with the research team.
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students involved in the project.
- Assist with project reporting and contribute to the design of a decision-support tool.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:The is a Land-Grant, Sea-Grant, and Space-Grant institution, encompassing virtually all academic and professional disciplines, with an enrollment of more than 56,000 students. Minimum Requirements:
- Ph.D. (foreign equivalent acceptable) in Agricultural and Applied Economics, Environmental Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong background in data analysis, particularly in handling geospatial data. Experience with remote sensing products is preferred.
- Knowledge of nonmarket valuation methods is preferred
- Excellent writing skills with a demonstrated ability to produce publishable research.
- Ability to work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary research team.
