Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an experienced primary school teacher for a school located in the heart of Northfield, Birmingham. The school are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive academically and personally.

Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Year 1 Teacher to join our team. As a Year 1 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our young learners. You will work closely with colleagues, parents, and students to create a positive and engaging learning environment. This is a long term role working part-time alongside another experienced year 1 teacher.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in all core subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, and Humanities

Assess and evaluate student progress, setting and tracking individual goals

Create and maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages students to be active learners

Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student learning and development

Use innovative and interactive teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding

Teach phonics using the Read Write Inc. scheme, helping students to develop their reading, writing and spelling skills

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Proven experience teaching primary school students

Knowledge and experience of the UK National Curriculum

Strong organisational and planning skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Passion for education and a commitment to student success
