Principal Clinical Psychologist Job Description

• Clinical Psychologist Band 8a
• You will join and become part of a multidisciplinary team, working within well equipped medical centres, dental centres or rehabilitation units where you will be valued as part of the Defence Medical Services team
• Part time – 2 -3 days per week
• London
• ASAP
• 3 months
• £35 – £36 per hour depending on experience

Requirements.

• Postgraduate doctoral level training in Clinical/Counselling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS
• Minimum of two years post-qualification experience working as a Clinical/Counselling psychologist within the designated specialty (Adult Mental Health)
• Evidence having been permanently employed for a minimum of two years at a Principal grade
• Evidence having carried out clinical research (either implementation or supervision)
• Evidence of delivery of teaching and training
• Evidence of having provided consultation to other professional and non-professional groups
• Must hold in date Safeguarding Level 3 Certificate
• DBS or Police Check
• Registered with HCPC under Practitioner Psychologist domain
• Ability to work alongside military personnel on Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force bases to deliver an exceptional standard of care for service personnel and their families
