RSK Environment, is seeking a tenacious Principal Consultant to join their team. We are happy to accept applications from anywhere in the UK.
RSK Environment are currently supporting a number of high-profile organisations to deliver large-scale renewable energy projects across the UK, working on a range of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs), Developments of National Significance (DNS), and other major planning applications. Key Responsibilities
- Acting as EIA Lead for major EIA projects in the energy, (predominantly renewables), sector.
- Writing detailed feasibility studies, environmental reviews, and EIA documentation.
- Leading on the production of proposals and tenders.
- Working close with client and stakeholders.
- Providing advice on environmental matters.
- Client relationship management to support repeat business.
- Mentoring of junior staff
Person Specification
- BSc degree level qualified in a relevant discipline and, preferably, MSc qualified in Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Management or related subject.
- Full membership of IEMA and/or Chartered Environmentalist (or working towards).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An excellent working knowledge of the EIA process including the current methods, legislation, techniques and guidance which directs the services we provide.
- A good knowledge of managing projects – including a detailed understanding of financial management, program management and quality control.
