The Private Banking Relationship Manager is a primary point of contact for existing Private Banking Households who have simple needs that do not require all of the services Private Banking provides. You will focus on delivering an exceptional client experience, with a focus on every day banking, service-related requests and small credit transactions. As Private Banking Relationship Manager, you will be a key member of a dynamic new team delivering support, service and advice through day-to-day client interactions while proactively and diligently enabling clients to digitally self-serve.

What will you do?

Serve as the first point of contact for a portfolio of clients and provide advice on everyday banking and provide transactional support through phone/fax/email and wire payments.

Complete small credit increases, credit maintenance, and excesses for clients.

Proactively educate and advise clients on options to self-serve for their day-to-day banking needs, including where required supporting on onboarding to digital tools including RBC Mobile Banking, Online Banking: acting as a champion for digital enablement

Clearly outline to clients the expected steps of every process and keep them apprised of the status of their inquiry/request.

Take ownership of client problem resolution at first point of contact, sourcing answers and leveraging expertise across RBC, escalating as required in a timely fashion.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

Desire to test new concepts, learn from experience and evolve as appropriate.

Understanding of Private Banking’s value proposition

Strong proficiency with digital banking platforms

Passion for exceptional client service, providing value proactively, look for ways to add value beyond immediate requests.

Excellent communication skills, reflecting confidence, building credibility in professional delivery of service and advice.

Strong knowledge of RBC retail products including banking and credit advice and solutions

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

IFIC completed or ability to complete within 6 months

Nice to Have

Minimum of 2 years personal banking experience with credit experience a strong advantage

Education in Commerce or Business Administration
