Reporting to the Head of Asian Market Solutions, the position of Private Lending Officer, Asian Markets will play an integral role in the growth of Manulife Bank’s Asian Markets business. Key deliverables include: Very high level of service to Asian Market advisors and HNW clientele, branch processing administration, support in the delivery of credit, support to Mortgage Specialists, and Private Lending Officer in the Eastern Region.Position Responsibilities:Client Service and SupportConsistent adherence to standards in order to execute against the desired HNW client experienceAddress queries from HNW clients and collaborate with internal partners to meet needs of our clientsComplete client transactions liaising with operations staff where necessaryInvestigate and timely response to advisor/client needsWorks with minimal supervisionWill be a key member of the relationship management team, 90% of interaction will be with end clients who will tend to call this role of their day to day requirements.Credit and SecuritySet up and administer new loan and deposit business, process related financial transactionsResponsible for quality of security filePromptly escalate and work to remediate any deficienciesMaintain accurate records to meet reporting as well as compliance and audit requirementsWork closely with Manulife Private Wealth operations and Bank operational staffAdministration and Branch OperationsIdentify applicable process / system / product enhancements and recommend suitable solutionsMaintain security of all bank records and correspondenceGeneral office administrationRequired Qualifications:Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (verbally and written)Post secondary education or equivalent industry experience5+ years experience in Banking including retail, commercial and preferably high net worthExcellent knowledge of banking operations including systems and controlsExcellent PC skills, including Lotus Notes, Word, Excel and PowerpointPreferred Qualifications:Superior client experience skills with advanced interpersonal & diplomacy skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, ability to make decisions utilizing sound judgment and be accountableAchievement oriented with strong internal networking skillsProven organizational skills with attention to detailInfluence and work collaboratively with high net worth team in a sophisticated and demanding business environmentWhen you join our team:We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see.About Manulife and John HancockManulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
