Details:Mission and objectives:UN DPO is looking for one online volunteer to support with creation of a short (60-90 seconds) animated video with voiceover in English (and French subtitles) highlighting the principles and major practical aspects of a new Policy.Context:UN Department of Peace Operations (DPO) has recently adopted the Policy on Information Integrity in Peacekeeping settings, aimed to set out the approach, principles, roles, responsibilities and processes for strengthening information integrity and addressing misinformation, disinformation and hate speech in peacekeeping operations. Roll out of the Policy will require creation of a short animated video for informing and engaging a wide audience.Task type:Art and DesignTask description:UN DPO is looking for one online volunteer to support with creation of a short (60-90 seconds) animated video with voiceover in English (and French subtitles) highlighting the principles and major practical aspects of a new Policy.The online volunteer will be provided with a design brief and script and will receive guidance on the target audience and our communications guidelines as well as other guidance as needed. The Information Integrity Unit will also be available throughout the design process for questions and edits.The Online Volunteers will have the opportunity to build connections with the Information Integrity Unit at DPO and learn about the ways in which the translated product contributes to addressing harmful information in peacekeeping settings.Requirements:We are looking for a creative video designer with excellent video editing experience and good knowledge of relevant software (e. g. Adobe Premiere Pro). Previous experience with creating animations is required.A degree in visual arts, design, visual communications, media studies, or a similar field is an asset.Work Hours: 16-20
