Main Responsibilities

  • Be an ambassador for the gated NPD process and support the NPD team with the administrative aspects of the stage and gate as well as with NPD and feasibility meetings.
  • Work with the chefs to create best in class products for our customers. This includes support with nutritional’s, claims, customer policy compliance etc.
  • Be a key part of the customer facing team, supporting the NPD Manager with communication and support, ensuring our customers are always fully informed and up to date on live projects.
  • Ensuring the correct documentation is available for customer submissions.
  • Keep up to date with the latest food trends and new openings so that you can talk passionately about the industry.
  • Develop internal and external relationships across all functions and customers to aid the successful delivery of new products and innovation.
  • Support the process team in the trialling and launching of new products to ensure successful scale up in the factory and grow your operational knowledge.
  • Continue to support the operations and QA team to ensure that the products we manufacture are the quality and standard that our customers expect.
  • Assist the NPD Manager in driving a food agenda within the business and promoting our food values both internally and externally.
  • Input recipes accurately on to the development system and ensure new raw materials are sourced in a timely manner to support the costing process.

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Passion for food is essential
  • Commercial understanding and ability to develop to a cost
  • IT skills-Excel, PowerPoint and Word as well as internal systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of product launches and strategic growth
  • Knowledge of nutrition and calculation of nutritional information
  • Customer facing experience ideally within major retailers
