We are looking for a colleague to join our London based, client facing team. The role, at Director grade, reports to the Global Head of Business Development and is focused on supporting the business development, product development and strategy for the business.

This is a leadership role within the area of the business that delivers high quality assessments over third parties as part of a utility model. The individual will work within a wider team that is responsible for the business strategy, data strategy, product roadmap, technology platform and our managed services capability.

The candidate must have experience of third party risk management, either gained in a large company, a consultancy or accounting firm or a regulatory body. The candidate will have a commercial mindset and be excited about driving the growth of our business.

Experience of developing, maintaining and improving risk frameworks is desirable along with knowledge of a range of risk disciplines including information security. A key technical aspect of the role is in the support, development and management of our risk framework. The risk framework supports the third party assessments that are undertaken by our Big 4 assessment partners or our in-house delivery team. The framework also supports the data strategy and includes a wide range of risk domains.

The role involves strategic support to our sales and marketing teams, working with clients both existing and prospective with a focus on the technical aspects of our solution.

We expect excellent relationship management skills, project management skills, risk and regulatory experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational/ coordination skills.

The successful candidate will gain experience of working across our organisation and be interacting on strategic initiatives with team members in other global functional groups including Sales, Product Management, Operations, and Marketing. We have a strong vision and strategy for the continued growth of the KY3P business globally and the role will involve working in a high performing team distributed across a range of locations from Dallas to Melbourne.

Following the S&P Global and IHS Markit merger, the KY3P business sits within the high growth, entrepreneurial “Network & Regulatory Solutions” which is part of S&P Global’s Market Intelligence division.

The successful candidate will possess the following requirements and skills:

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum
  • Over 7 years’ work experience
  • Experience of financial services risk and regulatory activities
  • Experience of industry regulatory bodies

Management requirements:

  • Stakeholder management and solution generation
  • Experience working with large, complex clients as well as small, demanding clients
  • Experience working internally with multiple teams

Personal competencies:

  • Self-starter, who can be assertive and resourceful where necessary
  • Ability to work independently whilst regularly keeping the team updated on progress
  • Organized and with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to meet internal/external deadlines
  • Ability to present to management and clients
  • Ability to manage client expectations

Communication:

  • Ability to listen, learn quickly, and demonstrate initiative
  • Ability to communicate effectively across teams and partners
  • Excellent communication skills – listening, writing, speaking is a major pre-requisite
  • External communications are a critical component of the job as new product development and implementation will require major and thorough communication with customers and other relevant third-parties

  • Ability to influence and partner across internal teams and external clients
  • Ability to listen and incorporate other ideas into solutions
