Job description
Skydance Animation is hiring a Production Assistant to support our team on our feature film slate. The Production Assistant will support a crew, including the Producer, Heads of Departments, and production colleagues, and they report to the Production Supervisor. This position requires the ability to prioritize and organize the workflow for day-to-day needs. The preferred candidate is proactive with strong follow-through, can work independently and as a team, and has a passion for growing within animation production.Responsibilities
- Supports the production team to achieve overall goals, shift priorities as departmental needs change
- Daily office activities including scheduling meetings and rooms, copies, filing, partner with facilities on supply needs, orders, runs
- Assisting preparation of presentations, director reviews, dailies, and other meetings
- Supports Production Supervisor in managing department calendars
- Taking detailed meeting notes and timely distribution
- Work side by side with Production Supervisor(s) to achieve daily needs and goals
- Assists Supervisors and Coordinators to track statuses by maintaining continuous awareness of production timeline
- Consistent line of communication with other departments regarding needs and deadlines including cross-site, multi-location
- Coverage for Production Supervisor, other production crew, and additional departments as needed
- Day-to-day administrative tasks as necessary
- Champion team of artists
- Other ad hoc duties as necessary
Requirements
- Enthusiasm and desire to learn all areas of animation pipeline and related workflows
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, strong organizational habits
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Exemplary communication skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maturely and professionally interface with all levels of internal management, vendors, and outside contacts, etc.
- Possesses a high level of discretion and confidentiality
- Strong proficiency with MS software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Flix and ShotGrid experience, a plus
- Previous experience within animation, including internships, a plus
The hourly range for this non-exempt position in Stamford, Connecticut is $20-22 an hour. The rate offered may vary based on the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors.
