We are seeking Production Operative for Moy Park Ballymena.

Pay Rate: £11.82

Shift pattern:

7.00am-3.00pm
11.00am-7.00pm

There may be weekend work required (usually a Saturday every other weekend) and you may be required to work nightshift on occasions.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ability to work in a warm mill environment
  • Must be comfortable working at heights
  • Must be comfortable working in confined spaces
  • Must have a good level of English
  • Physically demanding role, manual handling duties required e.g lifting 25kg bags

The job is performed in a warm mill environment and involves carrying out a physically active role. The job requires manual handling duties, for example lifting 25kg bags. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in confined spaces. The employee is required to operate effectively as part of a team.

Duties include;

  • Blending/Pressing operation
  • Micro bin filling
  • Weighing of lorries
  • Operation of carousels
  • Yard duties
  • Confined space bin/silo cleaning
  • Maintaining high hygiene standards throughout Mill and premises
  • Maintenance on equipment
  • Grinder/rollermill maintenance and hygiene
  • Changing filters
  • Spraying disinfectants and chemicals
  • First aid
  • Operate fork truck, pallet truck, stacker, industrial scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker
  • Highlight any problems with machinery to the maintenance team
  • Ensuring all paperwork completed
  • Enrober, boots and chutes maintenance
  • Ensuring raw material, silos, carousel and finished product bins stocks are correct
  • Stocktaking
  • Cleaning of intake pits, weighers/mixers, coolers and under hoppers
  • Ensuring all COSHH, Biosecurity, H/S and Environmental regulations are adhered to
  • Prioritising and maintaining biosecurity controls on the site
  • Any other duties that may be required by the Management

What you’ll need

  • Previous experience in a feedmill production environment
  • Must be comfortable working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to operate a computerised production control system
  • Must be literate and numerate.
  • Must be able to think clearly.
  • Must be able to work as a team member.
  • Must have a positive attitude to work and others
  • Good manual dexterity is essential.
  • Good level of English is essential
  • Good time keeping is essential
  • Good communication skills are essential.
