About the Position

Dexis is looking for a highly qualified Program Assistant to support work with the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). This project will provide a broad range of assessment, monitoring, and evaluation (AM&E) support to DSCA. Project tasks will include desk and field research, analysis, data collection and visualization, strategy development, policy writing and coordination, and AM&E capacity building.

Responsibilities

The Program Assistant shall provide programmatic support to the Program Manager (PM) and Deputy Program Manager (DPM) by providing innovative approaches to managing the team and processes used to develop, review, and enhance deliverables and services. Additional responsibilities are as follows:

  • Facilitates team collaboration
  • Monitors travel planning and maintains travel calendar
  • Develops draft memos and other correspondence for PM and DPM
  • Tracks employee in-processing tasks and forms
  • Inputs information into DSCA project management systems
  • Schedules calls and meetings
  • Provides logistics support for meetings and events (e.g., develops agenda, reserves meeting locations, sends invites to attendees, takes and distributes meeting minutes)
  • Stays abreast of trends in the field of AM&E

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 year of administrative experience in a government setting, including drafting memos, and preparing communications on another’s behalf, organizing meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and reserving space/providing conference lines; monitoring a team email inbox and routing emails to relevant team members, managing team calendars, including setting reminder appointments, tracking leave/TDY, and prioritizing the most sensitive matters;
  • 3 years of administrative experience working with teams in highly different time zones;
  • 1 year of experience managing the in-processing of new staff into DSCA;
  • 1-2 years’ experience collecting, inputting, organizing, assessing, and visualizing quantitative data
  • 1-2 years’ experience supporting travel planning for government agencies, NGO, or private sector
  • Active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS Office Suite, to include MS Project
  • Experience working with Senior Government Leaders
  • 1-2 years’ experience with data analytics tool (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Qualtrics)
  • Experience developing and implementing new processes (e.g., business process engineering, standard operating procedures)
