DescriptionThe Task Force for Global Health is an Emory University affiliate located in Decatur, GA. Its eight programs focus on building durable public health systems that serve all people. Focus are-as include neglected tropical diseases, vaccines, and health systems strengthening. The Task Force received the 2016 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize–the world’s largest award of its kind–in recognition of its extraordinary contributions to alleviating human suffering.The Task Force for Global Heath began its work serving as Secretariat for a coalition of several
multilateral organizations, achieving tremendous success in promoting immunization and other child survival activities. The Center for Vaccine Equity was founded to build on the Task Force’s experience in immunization and drug donation programs. Working through collaborative partnerships with critical stakeholders and partner organizations, the Center is focused on guiding the development of innovative vaccine procurement and delivery programs.The Center for Vaccine Equity (CVE) works to assure all people have equal access to life-saving vaccines by expanding availability, supporting vaccine impact studies, and building delivery systems that facilitate access in developing countries. CVE also serves as Secretariat for a number of global health partnerships that advance this mission. COVID-19 is a serious disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus, currently the cause of the ongoing pandemic. COVID-19 is potentially vaccine preventable, and several vaccines are in late stage of development. Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Program Assistant provide technical and administrative support to a team of fourteen (8) members comprised of technical and project management staff.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides administrative and logistical support for projects, initiatives, and programs within an NGO environment.
  • Assists assigned managers and team members by maintaining calendars, receiving and composing communications as correspondence, and replies to inquiries.
  • Handles preparations, scheduling, logistics, and other various requirements for domestic and international travel.
  • Drafts contracts, budgets, and donor reports with direction from manager.
  • Processes financial documents including contracts, expense reports, invoices, etc.
  • Writes routine reports and correspondence, and assists with the development of project/program materials.
  • Organizes meetings and events.
  • Works with and maintains data management and filing for projects/program.
  • Serves as an administrator of work product with other programs/departments, i.e. finance, program development, public information, etc.
  • Liaises and communicates with project consultants and field office staff, providing logistical and administrative support, as directed.
  • Conducts research and provides support to one or more staff members in regards to project and programmatic efforts.
  • May supervise work study students and volunteers.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to Project Manager and technical staff to

coordinate programmatic activities and achieve programmatic objectives. * Assist in the development and maintenance of online platforms and databases.

  • Processes financial documents including contracts, expense reports, invoices, etc.
  • Handles preparations, scheduling, logistics, and other various requirements for domestic and

international travel * Manage information and required documentation related to expense and financial reportingthrough processing and archiving. * Provide preliminary review of expense reports.Organize conference calls, in-person and virtual meetings.

  • Manage all logistics associated with meetings such as participant travel, facilities/venue

management, coordination of technical requirements, and other functions as needed * Liaises and communicates with project consultants and field office staff, providing logistical andadministrative support, as directed. * With minimal supervision, establish work priorities based on knowledge of program needs; meetassociated deadlines.

  • Act as liaison to partner organizations with a high level of diplomacy and tact.
  • Extensive interaction with domestic and international partners.
  • Assists assigned managers and team members by maintaining calendars, receiving and

composing communications as correspondence, and replies to inquiries. * Performs other responsibilities as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent AND five years of administrative experience, OR a bachelor’s degree.
  • Proficiency with various personal computer software applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Work requires an excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS TEAMS, SMARTSHEET, and Google Workspace.
  • Previous experience reviewing financial documents
  • Public health experience.
  • Previous experience interacting with international organizations.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA.
