Position Summary

Manage development, planning, and administration of program content, speakers, and logistics, including public events to support the College and Career Lab program mission. Ensure compliance with programs involving minors, as designated by the university Office of Youth Programs Compliance. Serve as project manager for College and Career Lab for various programming needs for middle and high school students, overseen by the Senior Director, Pathways Strategy, Implementation, and Outreach to establish project plans and resource allocation, including recruitment and supervision of NYU student employees. Create policies and procedures concerning program development and policies for program participants (middle and high school students). Administer and analyze survey data to suggest improvements and increase retention of enrolled students and recruitment of new applicants in the programs. Oversee the design and implementation of outreach and advertising strategies to promote programs across NYC public school students. Assist in the general oversight of budget, reporting elements for internal documentation and grants, and managing College and Career Lab’s online presence.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Education:
Master’s Degree

Required Experience:
5+ years experience working in a university, non-governmental organization (NGO), or non-profit organization developing and implementing programs and managing budgets and people, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
2+ years Experience working in an academic environment and using research to inform solutions. Expertise with social media strategy/implementation and website content

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Experience working with middle and high school students. Demonstrated ability to interact with individuals at all levels. Excellent organizational and public speaking skills. Ability to translate complex issues into key points for target audiences across varied communications platforms. Ability to work 100% in-person from early June – to mid-August to oversee and implement the summer intensive with irregular hours.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Bi-lingual Spanish. Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of the NYC public school landscape, NYC High School Application Process, relevant economic trends on workforce development and career learning, and postsecondary application and planning process.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $75,000.00 to USD $95,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
