Kambo delivers three in-house programs: Empower Me, Community Power, and the Home Upgrades Program.delivers multilingual education, support, and coaching services to ensure underrepresented communities have access to energy, climate, and home retrofit programs.supports Indigenous Nations to build, renovate, and improve community housing.provides fully subsidized energy retrofits to improve affordability for households living in energy poverty.About the OpportunityAs the Program Manager, Toronto, you will help us launch and grow our Empower Me Ontario division. The Program Manager, Toronto will both deliver and manage the delivery of its energy efficiency programs in the Greater Toronto area. You will report to the Empower Me Operations Manager and will work closely with the Empower Me, Western Canadian team to build the Ontario division.To be successful in this role, you are a natural leader with a positive “can-do” attitude, have a collaborative team approach, and embrace a diverse range of responsibilities. You have excellent communication skills, are extremely organized and have an eye for detail.Core AccountabilitiesBuild relationships and engage with communities in the Greater Toronto region
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners.
- Meet and follow up with community partners, leaders. stakeholders, and/or funders.
- Report on status of relationships with community partners.
Schedule, deliver, and manage the delivery of workshops, events and presentations
- Coordinate events and workshops to ensure energy efficiency and renewable energy education is delivered to the public.
- Work with interpreters and handle multilingual requirements as necessary.
Maintain program standards while incorporating appropriate localization
- Responsible for quality and consistency of educational content.
- Monitor and manage contract deliverables, metrics, and costs according to internal and sponsor requirements.
Manage projects
- Represent Empower Me for all Ontario projects and contracts.
- Manage relationships with external project managers and contracting entities, set expectations, Offer strategic input on community engagement activities.
- Collect data, including demographics, event logs, etc.
- Develop sponsor reports and provide updates as required.
- Support political outreach, such as attending meetings with MLAs, and reaching out to political and community figures for letters of support.
Build and manage the Ontario team
- Develop and maintain staffing plans in accordance with program funding.
- Hire, train and manage the region’s multilingual Mentor team.
- Provide regular coaching and development feedback to Mentors.
- Responsible for staying current with municipal, provincial and federal rebates and incentives and providing training to the Mentor Team.
Manage Ontario operations
- Ensures data collection and management is maintained within our CRM.
- Manage inventory and materials for workshops (project materials/flyers), deliver when necessary.
- Manage and report on budgets as required.
- Participate in regular check-ins with the North American Empower Me team.
- Other administrative duties as needed.

Key Competencies
- 8+ years of experience in a similar role working with public and private stakeholders.
- Must be a clear and compelling oral and written communicator with the ability to persuade stakeholders and facilitate groups, practiced in delivering workshops and presentations.
- Community-centered with demonstrated awareness and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of diverse communities. Ability to work on weekends and evenings if needed. Proven track record of relationship building and community engagement.
- Experience in project management with excellent follow up, time management, analytical, and organizational skills
- Bilingual, preferably fluent in one of the following: Spanish, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Somali.
- Familiarity with energy, sustainability, and conservation or a willingness to learn.
