See more at .The OpportunityLeveraging Netflix’s innovative and fast paced culture, help Netflix attain its public climate target to reduce our emissions by roughly half by 2030; and to spur change across the value chain (see our quantitative Scope 3 target in our ).ResponsibilitiesReporting into the Sustainability & Operations workstream of Netflix Sustainability, bring key quantitative and qualitative expertise for:Support Scope 3 emissions reductions strategy and initiative implementation– Corporate and film/TV production supply chain engagement, including internal and external stakeholders, to drive emissions reductions in material Scope 3 subcategories– Represent Netflix in Scope 3 industry/academic/NGO collaborative groups– Ensure the company’s procurement activities align with leadership practices– Help to maintain up-to-date industry knowledge regarding Scope 3 carbon accounting best practices, including insetting (within-value chain EACs)Support carbon accounting and forecasting for Scope 3 emissions– Establish supplier-specific emissions factors from value chain partners by enhancing data collection from inside and outside of the business– Quantify the relative emissions benefits of hosting digital services (e.g. VFX and Virtual Production) at different vendor types, and in comparison to traditional techniques– Maintain and adapt key input data sources to the Scope 3 annual carbon footprint process, and support with Scope 3 GHG accounting– Maintain data on how Scope 3 emissions are changing year over year, including tracking against Netflix’s public targetsMaintain a quantitative forecast model for Scope 3 emissions across the businessPreferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Scope 3 related sustainability initiatives
- 3+ years with carbon footprinting and forecasting
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills required, including modeling and forecasting
- Experience collaborating with industry coalitions, research groups, policymakers, vendors, 3rd party certifiers, etc.
- Proven experience with the best 3rd party standards for product and supply chain carbon footprinting
- Management and/or strategy consulting experience a plus
- Life cycle assessment (LCA) knowledge a plus
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments, with an ability to structure and have ownership of your work
Location: North America, remoteOur compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000 – $245,000.Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
