FHI 360 serves more than 60 countries, all 50 U.S. states and all U.S. territories. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Program Officer II, Administration and Planning. It is a remote position, and the selected candidate will be expected to work US Eastern Time business hours.The Program Officer II is primarily responsible for providing programmatic and administrative support in the Global Programs and Science (GPS) group. The POII will work closely with the Director of Administration, Planning, and Collaboration to collect, compile, and analyze information relevant to activities across the GPS portfolio. They will monitor the progress of indirect-funded activities and ensure compliance with internal regulations. The POII will maintain a monitoring system for reviewing project status, and will routinely provide progress updates. They will support the gathering, synthesis, and dissemination of information for routine and ad hoc requests, and collaborate with leadership and other GPS staff to create compelling and high-quality summaries of GPS achievements, experience, and thought leadership. The POII will also provide program management support to advance the adoption, promotion, and documentation of GPS cultural norms.Accountabilities:Provides support to management, delivers presentations, and leads meetings.Leads assigned tasks and oversees task completion.Research and provides inputs for project design by supporting other team members.Tracks performance of indirect-funded activities in GPS against budgets, timelines, objectives, and deliverables. Promotes relevant results and achievements.Synthesizes existing information and data into an overarching summary of progress on funded and approved indirect activities across the GPS portfolio.Tracks trends and collects more sophisticated data.May contribute to indirect activity budget development.May conduct new hire onboarding on FHI 360 procedures and administrative processes.Participates in meetings and events outside of GPS to represent GPS work and priorities.May serve as a mentor to colleagues across GPS.Assist in ensuring document management sites are maintained and up to date.Responds to a variety of programmatic, administrative and logistics needs and requirements generated from senior management.Designs, edits, and manages the GPS site on the organizational intranet platform.Develops basic surveys and polls targeting internal FHI 360 audienceUtilizes Microsoft Suite software, including Power BI, and other basic survey and data platforms to collect, manage, and analyze information.Support the ad hoc gathering and synthesis of information as requested by GPS senior leadership.Reads and interprets budget to understand tracking and suggest budget items/approach for tasks.Problem Solving & Impact:Works on problems of diverse scope that require review of various factors.Uses cost benefit/risk assessment with selecting methods and techniques to determine appropriate action.Builds productive working relationships internally and externally.Decisions may cause delays and affect a work unit or area within a department.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent.Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience with project management.Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private organization preferred.International program development or program management preferred.Basic knowledge of the qualitative and quantitative survey methodologies and analysis.Ability to multi-task and handle a large work volume in a timely manner.Ability to initiate, prioritize, and implement activities with minimal oversight.Excellent organizational skills, meticulous, and pays attention to detail.Strong interpersonal and multicultural communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.Ability to problem solve and implement corrective action as needed.Ability to prepare reports and provide information to management in a timely matter.Written and oral proficiency in English is required.Typical Physical Demands:Typical office environment.Ability to spend long hours looking at computer screen and doing repetitive work on a keyboard.Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.Ability to lift or move up to 5 lbs.Travel:Less than 5%The expected US-based hiring salary range for this role is listed below. Candidate FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget.Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 12% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account. Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours/week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year. Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule.US Based Hiring Salary Range: $63,000 – $74,000International hiring ranges will differ based on location.This job posting summarizes the main duties of the job.
