Key Qualifications and Expertise Extensive Programme and Project Management Experience · Proven track record in managing medium to large-scale projects with significant budgets and impact, including multi-year national, regional, and multi-country initiatives. · Expertise in identifying, developing, and applying tools and processes to ensure successful project management and delivery. · Demonstrated ability to engage in strategic planning and influence project strategies to align with and contribute to broader program goals. Leadership and Communication Skills · Strong ability to communicate effectively, inspire and guide project teams, and address conflicts constructively to maintain a productive and harmonious work environment. Staff and Partner Relationship Management · Proven experience in managing relationships with staff and partners, fostering collaboration, and ensuring efficient teamwork and joint accountability. Ability to Work Independently · Demonstrated capacity to operate autonomously with high levels of self-direction, ensuring effective decision-making and seamless project progression. Willingness to Travel · Flexibility to travel at short notice, often under challenging circumstances, to meet project and organizational needs. Education:
· A bachelor’s degree in social or political science, International Development, Humanitarian or related field.
Experience: · At least 5 years’ experience in development projects, at least 1 year experience of working in a field location. Essential · Excellent leadership, coordination and facilitation skills · Proficiency in Project Management, including budget and oversight and reporting. · Strong communication skills and ability to produce high quality reports · Have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to working in collaboration and partnership. · Have the ability to build constructive relationships and partnerships based on mutual values and respect · Have experience of analyzing and managing risks in a complex political context and creatively minimizing their potential impact · Have excellent analytical and communication skills and demonstrable ability to think strategically, innovatively and practically to improve programme quality · Strong commitment to inclusivity and respect for diversity, sensitivity to cultural differences and ability to work in a wide variety of cultural contexts · Fluency in spoken and written English language · Flexible work attitude to manage multiple priorities · Computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point) · Sympathy with the aims and objectives of Oxfam. · Commitment to humanitarian principles and action. · Commitment to Oxfam’s equal opportunity and gender policies. |
Desirable · Knowledge of the Iraqi and Middle Eastern context · Knowledge and understanding of Oxfam’s programmes in emergencies and development. · Good understanding and experience of linking programme work to advocacy, and influencing work · Experience in managing and/ or implementation of multi-sector project · Technical expertise in Economic Justice, Gender Justice and Climate Justice. · Understanding …………ethnic languages are desirable · Master’s Degree in Development, Humanitarian or Gender
