About Our Client:
Our client, an organization with decades of experience in construction industry, is actively seeking a Project Accountant to join their team!
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the CFO and working closely with Project Managers, the Project Accountant is responsible for accounting, financial + operational reporting and analysis
- Recording transactions, posting entries, preparing month-end close and internal financial reports
- Bank and general ledger account reconciliations + analysis
- Construction draws and funding requests
- Preparing financial reports for joint venture partners
- Tracking project costs to budget and analyzing/ explain variances
- Monthly tax filing and annual audit coordination
Requirements
- 5+ years’ relevant experience including full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
- Post secondary education in Accounting, Business or related discipline
- Experience in the construction, engineering, or manufacturing sector
- CPA Designation or pursuing would be an asset
Expected salary
$75000 per year
