We make land safe where war has ended, while also assisting those affected by active conflict and endemic violence, creating more durable solutions to support stability.In recent years HALO has grown significantly, and with our financial strength and strong government, community, and partner relationships we are uniquely positioned to help build more resilient and prosperous communities.About the role:HALO is seeking to recruit a Project Account to provide financial support to a large multi-million dollar contract being delivered in Ukraine.The Project Accountant is responsible for providing financial support and guidance to the UK-based Project Manager. The primary aim is to ensure the project stays within budget. The project accountant also handles billing, expense tracking, and financial reporting.Job responsibilities:· Prepare and monitor project budgets and conduct regular budget reviews to ensure the project stays within the budget· Manage accounts receivable for the project· Prepare regular financial reports and statements for project stakeholders· Manage and oversee all financial transactions related to the project· Ensue operational plans are reflected in the budget/forecast· Perform cost-to-completion exercises and profitability assessments· Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards· Business partnering with non-finance manager to develop processes and the understanding of financial requirements· Other administrative duties as and when required.RequirementsWho we’re looking for:Requirements:
- QBE or a professional or part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA etc )
- Project management experience,
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong numeracy and IT skills essential, and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Experience developing and monitoring budgets.
Desirable:
- Experience using ERP planning systems
- Experience in international development.
