A place to make a difference:

We’re seeking applications for a Project and Awards Coordinator to join our Climate Change Division (CCD) at Save the Children Australia. This is a part-time (0.5 FTE), permanent role as part of a job-share arrangement, designed to support the operational oversight of our CCD portfolio. The position is flexible, remote or hybrid, ideally located in Asian or Australian time zones.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you’ll play a key role in ensuring effective project and award management across the GCF portfolio. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance, maintain operational controls, and support monitoring and risk management processes to enhance project success.

You will make an impact by:

  • Managing award lifecycles in Save the Children’s Award Management System (AMS) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Supporting portfolio monitoring and risk management, including tracking pipelines and maintaining risk logs.
  • Ensuring donor compliance by providing guidance, tracking requirements, and coordinating legal and program team reviews of agreements.
  • Facilitating reporting processes and maintaining key documentation for audits and donor engagement.
  • Liaising with Country Offices (COs) and Member Leads to ensure smooth coordination of award management and project assurance.
  • Contributing to the development of operational tools and continuous improvement initiatives for the Climate Change Division.

A place to feel valued:

You are a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with experience in project and award management. You thrive in a dynamic environment, can juggle multiple priorities, and have a strong understanding of financial tracking and donor compliance. You enjoy collaborating with diverse teams across different time zones and are committed to climate resilience and sustainable development.

This role requires:

  • Experience in project and award management, preferably in an international development or climate finance context.
  • Strong financial literacy, including budget monitoring and proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience preparing donor reports and compliance documentation.
  • Ability to identify and escalate operational risks effectively.
  • Familiarity with complex donors, grant management systems, and international program operations.
  • Ability to work across time zones and coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a remote setting. Many of the team is based in Europe/Africa so there will be calls with these time zones each week.
