Project Engineer – Infrastructure Projects
Consultancy Based RoleLocation: Dublin (office-based with flexible hybrid working available)
Salary: €50,000 – €67,000, commensurate with experience
Benefits: Further Discussed at Interview Stage (Include Fuel Allowance, Healthcare, Dental etc).
Annual Leave: 25 days and ability to increase
Flexibility: Hybrid Options & Ability to work oversea’s for 4-Weeks per year.Optimize, working closely with our client, are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic Project Management team within the Highways and Transportation division. Based in Dublin, this role offers the chance to work on major infrastructure projects across sectors such as energy, rail, active travel, and highways.Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and drive team deliverables on multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
- Manage technical decisions, review technical reports, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Oversee the design and planning processes, ensuring compliance with project scope.
- Prepare progress reports, project charters, and development plans for internal and external stakeholders.
- Chair and document meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Maintain quality assurance across all project activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Level 8/9).
- Relevant experience in a consultancy environment, with multidisciplinary project exposure.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartership.
- Proven experience managing infrastructure projects through feasibility, design, planning, and delivery stages.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and technical design tools.
- Strong technical writing and planning document review skills.
- Full Irish/EU driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.
