Job Description

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Identifies project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Tracks multiple cost accounts and elements of cost to ensure proper tracking of financial and operational data. Daily interaction with multiple members of operational and functional support teams. Exposure to project planning and management.

Basic Qualifications

Understanding and experience in project planning and management (either through work experience or education).

Understanding and experience in cost accounting (either through work experience or education).

Knowledge of risk management and understanding of the value of identifying and managing project risk.

Good interpersonal communication and developing skill level for formal presentations.

Experience working within a cross-functional team or integrated product team (IPT).

Demonstrated success in an environment that is extremely fast paced and demanding.

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance and must have an interim secret clearance prior to starting.

Desired skills

4 years of US Government or military experience
Project Management and/or Cost Account Management skills within a Government Contract
Small team leadership
Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance
Demonstrated time management skills in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.

Ideal candidates will have experience working within the SOF GLSS environment. Experience working under a DoD contract is a plus. Candidate must be able to work well with task order managers and functional staff as well as US Government customers. Project Management and / or Cost Accounting training is a plus. Ability to travel within the continental United States is required

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
