Everyone at Mitie has a voice and is treated as an equal.o Our customers’ business, is our business: we are a partner, trusted for our expertise and for putting our customers at the heart of everything we do.Job objectives and responsibilities· Work in partnership with the Coventry Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of Projects across the Coventry Account· Actively contribute to the Account Project delivery Team (and whenever appropriate with the broader FM team) and operate in line with policies / working practices defined by the Account Director· Delivery Projects in line with Mitie and Account processes (in agreement with client guidelines)· Projects will include for the delivery of lifecycle Major Repairs (ie those not delivered by the Core FM team) and Variations· Own the £ share of the overall annual projects budget under your control for the Account· Prepare and maintain periodic progress updates (this will typically be monthly and quarterly) – on occasions adhoc· Own the periodic ‘maintenance’ / upkeep of the SoPM in collaboration with the Account Director and Senior PM· Drive the all aspects of project delivery under your management (eg administration (Mitie and client process), progress management, commercial negotiations, tender evaluation, preparation of documentation etc) – where appropriate leverage the support of the broader account and projects team· Demonstrate the required level of commercial acumen, leadership and operational project deliver (typically a 40:60 split)· Where appropriate actively contribute to commercial discussions both internally within Mitie and with the Client – the position will be supported by Commercial / QS resource; however, the position will, on occasions, be required to ‘fly-solo’ commercial so this is a clear expectation for the role· Maintain lines of communication and collaboration with Mitie’s Projects Centre of Excellence (PCOE) in order to:· Maintain Mitie best practice· Help solve for adhoc resourcing requirements· Leverage technology and resources / processes that support the delivery of projects and demonstrate the breadth of Mitie’s project delivery capabilityMain dutiesThe Project Manager will be responsible for contributing to the management of the delivery of projects for the account – typically between £5m to £10m (aggregate of lifecycle and variations dependent on annual programme budgets). Drive progress advancement, project manage and delivery in line with agreed timescales and budget limits. Work in partnership with our Mitie FM and Projects Team and Coventry Hospital’s Project Co and NHS Trust to create, monitor and deliver projects which will include (but not limited to) refurbishment works and mechanical / electrical facility upgrades / enhancements and on occasions new developments.Person Specification· Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and exhibit the required level of leadership and drive to deliver· Maintain strong lines of communication and relationship with the Coventry Account Team· Demonstrated skill in managing budgets and account plans.· Relevant degree such as Construction Management, Project Management, APM and RICS PM qualifications. Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s Degree) – details of others to be declared.· Demonstrate necessary Safety Management, CDM and SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualifications· Working Knowledge of the RIBA stages for delivery· Proven experience as a Key Projects Account Director or similar senior-level role within the healthcare or Project / Construction management industry (minimum of 5-10 years’ experience).· Strong understanding of Project Works and delivery within the healthcare sector, including the challenges and regulations specific to hospitals.· Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels.· Demonstrated track record of driving business growth and achieving revenue targets within a key account role.· Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.· Proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.· Flexibility to travel as required to meet with stakeholders and attend meetings at the Coventry Hospital.Health and Safety responsibilities· Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;· Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;· Health and Safety Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols that align with current UK healthcare regulations and best practices. Monitor and ensure adherence to these standards across key accounts, identifying and addressing any areas of non-compliance.· Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments within healthcare facilities, identifying potential hazards and risks to employees, patients, and visitors. Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop effective risk mitigation strategies and monitor their implementation.· Training and Education: Coordinate and deliver health and safety training programs to key account team, ensuring all personnel are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to maintain a safe working environment.· Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry developments, providing guidance and training to ensure ongoing compliance.· Incident Investigation and Reporting: Lead investigations into health and safety incidents within key account, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions. Ensure timely reporting of incidents to relevant regulatory bodies as required by law and company policies.· Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key account management team, acting as a trusted advisor on health and safety matters.· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote a positive health and safety culture, continuously improving practices and fostering a safe working environment.Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and evaluate health and safety processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices. Proactively identify emerging health and safety trends and technologies to enhance the overall effectiveness of health and safety initiatives within key account.· Proven experience in health and safety management, ideally within the healthcare sector in the UK.· In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety regulations, guidelines, and best practices applicable to the healthcare industry.· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies.· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.· Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others, promoting a positive health and safety culture.· Professional certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are highly desirable.· Proven track record of successfully managing key accounts and delivering results.Information Security· Ensure compliance with Mitie’s information security procedures in all activities;· Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;· Report actual and suspected security incidents.NoteThis job description Is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for this position and the range of duties undertaken.
