We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Property Accountant in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will be a key member of our team, delving into various accounting functions within the property industry.Responsibilities:
- Handle full cycle accounting tasks for a portfolio of condominium buildings, including shared facilities.
- Generate precise monthly financial statements like Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and supporting schedules.
- Manage and scrutinize accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and address discrepancies.
- Collaborate with property managers to uphold accurate records.
- Prepare and reconcile recoveries.
- Record journal entries with precision.
- Aid in the development of year-end audit working papers.
- Process changes in property ownership and electronic funds transfers for common element fees.
- Undertake additional tasks as required, supporting the team and company objectives.
- Maintain detail oriented and efficient communication, exceeding customer expectations.
- Showcase excellent time management, attention to detail, and teamwork.
- Familiarity with Account Coding is essential
- Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems
- Knowledge of Yardi is a significant advantage
- Mastery of Accounting Functions is necessary
- Familiarity with Accrual Accounting is crucial
- Experience in Auditing is advantageous
