Position: Property Accountant, Commercial Real Estate
Location: TorontoQuantum is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Property Accountant specializing in Commercial Real Estate to join our client’s growing team!Key Responsibilities:– Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports for assigned portfolio companies.
– Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
– Generate financial statements for tax filings in both the US and Canada.
– Compile reports for the annual audit.
– Ensure the integrity and accuracy of property records.
– File HST returns timely and accurately.
– Develop monthly cash forecasts for the portfolio and request necessary funding.
– Coordinate authorization for funding requests and construction draws.
– Manage wire payments related to properties.
– Open bank accounts for newly foreclosed properties.
– Reconcile monthly bank statements for the properties.
– Provide innovative solutions to various accounting and operational challenges.
– Support the finance team by backing up other team members as needed.
– Undertake ad hoc projects and assignments.Qualifications:– At least three years of relevant accounting experience.
– Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field.
– CPA designation preferred.
– Prior experience in commercial real estate accounting is required.
– Eagerness to continuously learn about commercial real estate and financial operations.
